#HistoryTuesday - Tuesday November 25TH 2025
First Presbyterian Church of Sebring Florida at 319 Poinsettia Avenue is one of the original churches from the earliest years of our city. It was originally organized in 1914, and in 1925 construction began on their brand-new sanctuary. It's one of our oldest sanctuaries in continuous use.
As written on their official web site - "Founder George Sebring believed that churches were an important part of the quality of life in the town bearing his name, so he donated land on which a lot of churches - including First Presbyterian - got their start."
The cornerstone for their present-day building was placed on November 13TH 1925.
TODAY - Tuesday November 25TH 2025 - they will host an Open House in honor of their 100TH Anniversary inside their historic building. Join them from 2 to 5 PM. Light refreshments will be served.
