Roanoke Hotel
#HistoryTuesday - Tuesday March 17TH 2026

The Roanoke Hotel has been a long-cherished fixture of our Circle for the past 109 years. As written on their official web site:

"Steeped in history and rich with charm, this beloved Sebring boutique hotel has been a cherished landmark since 1917. Fully restored to its original grandeur, the Roanoke Boutique Hotel effortlessly blends early 20th-century elegance with modern comforts, offering a unique and personalized stay in the heart of historic Downtown Sebring."

They have 10 uniquely decorated and furnished rooms at the newly restored Roanoke with 10 unique names - such as "Ridgewood Forest", "Antique Avenue", "Boho Bungalow", "Cracker Trail", and "Old Florida".

The hotel was built by the Sebring Development Company in 1917, and it was named for early settlers in the area from Roanoke Virginia. It is on the National Register Of Historic Places. It has retained its concave facade along historic Circle Park Drive at 211.

Below the hotel - where the popular Circle Cafeteria served many hungry customers - as well as the longtime Cathouse Restaurant - now sits Gavaghans Irish Pub. Gavaghan's will of course be the central hub of all activities on this day - March 17TH. Enjoy their 2ND Annual St. Patrick's Day Party TODAY from 11 AM to 9 PM !
