It's the 12TH edition of our Q & A - your questions answered:
Q - Why no Bob Evans at your next Saturday luncheon ?
A - As you may have read in "The Historian" - our next Quarterly Membership Luncheon in 2 weeks on Saturday April 25TH 2026 at 12 Noon will feature pizza, salad, and dessert. We wanted to try something different for this one since we will have Sebring High School students performing for us on stage. The suggested donation is $15 per person, or $25 per couple. We need to ensure that we order enough food for everyone, so please RSVP no later than Monday April 20TH 2026 via telephone (863.471.2522), E-Mail (info@sebringhistoricalsociety.org), or in-person at our Archives Center (below the public library).
Q - When is your next Thursday talk seminar ?
A - Our "Florida Talks" by Florida Humanities series is unfortunately done for the season. It was a successful well-attended season, and we hope to do it again early next year with all-new guest speakers and presentations. Thank You everyone who attended one, two, or all three of these presentations !
Q - What type of events are you all doing this summer ?
A - We've got a pretty busy schedule through the summer. We're not really slowing down. Our biggest event is definitely on Saturday July 04TH 2026 when we celebrate America's 250TH Birthday. (See Page 7 of "The Historian".)
Q - Can I get a paper copy of "The Historian" ? I don't like them electronically because I like to keep the most current issue on my coffee table and read it over and over again until the next one comes out.
A - YES - paper copies are available inside our museum and down at our Archives Center. We'll also have a bunch available at our Quarterly Membership Luncheon in 2 weeks.
Q - Can I use your museum for my small group after hours ?
A - YES - our Charles F. Weigle House Museum & Gift Shop is available for use (and is being used) after hours for small functions of less than 25 people. Please contact our office at 863.471.2522 for more details. (Our office is usually open 5 days a week - Tuesdays to Saturdays - from 10 AM to 1 PM.)
That's all for this month. Keep asking us questions, and we'll answer them on-the-spot, or here on our Facebook page, or both.
We'll be back with 5 new posts next week starting with an all-new #HistoryTuesday !
