We made it to our 15TH edition of our monthly Q & A. Let's GO !:
Q - I've seen two addresses for the Society - one on Lakeview and one on West Center. Which one is correct ?
A - They are both correct. Our museum is located at 1989 Lakeview Drive, and our Archives Center (with our office located inside) is located at 321 West Center Avenue. The latter is also our mailing address: Sebring Historical Society, 321 West Center Avenue, Sebring Florida 33870.
Q - Don't we have a luncheon coming up ?
A - YES - 2 weeks from today on Saturday July 25TH 2026. It's a great opportunity to learn more about your Sebring Historical Society, enjoy lunch with other members (and future members too), and see and hear from a special guest speaker. Sebring's own award-winning author Mark Barie will be speaking at this luncheon. He's written 5 historical war novels. Our luncheons are always open to the public. Please bring a covered dish or dessert that serves at least 8, or in lieu of that we'd appreciate a suggested donation of $15 per person or $25 per couple. Doors open at the Jack Stroup Civic Center at 11:30 AM. Our program begins at 12 Noon. It should last about 90 minutes. We hope to see you there !
A - We also have copies of the popular (free) magazine at our Archives Center. We'll try to get more copies available at the museum. The PULSE of the Heartland newspaper is also a highly-requested pick-up. We hope to have the new July edition available soon.
A - YES - And we love it. A bunch of us discovered the pictures when we enjoyed lunch there back in April. The food was delicious and the service was great. It's located where Sunset Bar & Grille used to be along U.S. 27. Jim Jordan is the owner-operator. Tell Jim we sent you !
Q - How come you don't post on Facebook on Sundays and Mondays ?
A - Because we need a break too, and besides - our museum and office are closed on Sundays and Mondays. Analytics and algorithms suggest that it's best to take a couple of days off each week on social media for maximum efficiency and interactivity. It seems to be working for us.
That's all for this edition. Did you know that the previous 14 editions of Q & A (going back 14 months) are available on our web site at sebringhistoricalsociety.com ?
