Q & A - 18
It's the 18TH edition of our monthly Q & A - starting now !

Q - Is our next luncheon this month ?
A - Yes it is. It's always the 4TH Saturday of October, January, April, and July. This month it's on Saturday October 24TH 2026 starting at 12 Noon. Doors open at 11:30 AM at the Jack Stroup Civic Center. This is open to the public. We ask that all attendees either bring a covered dish or dessert to serve at least 8, or pay a suggested donation of $15 per person or $25 per couple to help pay for the food, drinks, and supplies that will be provided.

Q - What are some of the membership benefits ?
A - For just $25 per person per year (or $40 per couple) you'll be helping us fund our day-to-day operations at both our Charles F. Weigle House Museum & Grayce's Gift Shop and our Archives Center. You'll be financially supporting our mission to inspire and educate the community to actively preserve, protect, and share the rich history of Sebring and Highlands County Florida. Another benefit of being a member is that you can take 10% off any gift shop purchase as well as any bus trip. We thank all of our members for supporting us each year !

Q - Can someone come to our neighborhood clubhouse this winter season and talk to our residents about your organization ?
A - Of course ! We can come to your neighborhood and speak to your residents for 30, 45, or 60 minutes and tell everyone all about the Sebring Historical Society. We'll tell you all about our upcoming activities and events, and we'll bring brochures. We already have a couple of neighborhoods booked for this January. Simply contact us at 863.471.2522 or E-Mail us at info@sebringhistoricalsociety.org.

Q - What company manages your Facebook page ?
A - Our Facebook page is self-managed by a member of our Sebring Historical Society.

Q - Your daily posts randomly appear in my Facebook feed - sometimes days later after it's posted.
A - The best way to see our posts more frequently in your Facebook feed is to react to them by liking, loving, commenting, sharing, or any combination thereof. Also - it helps greatly when you follow our Facebook page. (Click on Sebring Historical Society, and make sure the button says "Following" instead of "Follow".) Less than 30% of our views are from followers, so over 70% of you are not yet following us. You can always see all of our posts in chronological order starting with the most recent by going straight to our Facebook page instead of relying on your algorithm-driven feed.

Q - Do you take requests for #HistoryTuesday ?
A - Yes we do. Many previous editions were inspired by your ideas. Comment on any #HistoryTuesday post on any person, place, or thing that you would like for us to cover.

That's all for this month. We'll be back in 3 days for an all-new #HistoryTuesday.
