Sebring Dignitaries - 1956

George Eugene Sebring and Cora Ann Harris Sebring were married for almost 30 years - from 1897 to 1927 (when Mr. Sebring unexpectedly passed on). Mrs. Sebring lived for another 39 years - until August 1966.
In this widely circulated photo from 10 years earlier in 1956 - a group of Sebring dignitaries - including of course Ms. Grayce McCoy (right) - stand on the front steps of the Sebring house along Lakeview Drive.
About 10 years later the house was demolished, and in its place - the Sebring Public Library was built (which remains to this day). That was the wish of Cora Ann Harris Sebring (in the foreground alongside Mayor "Jake" Butler).
