SURPRISE ! For the first time in 6 weeks - it's a new Q & A !
Q - So what's the difference between the Sebring Historical Society and the Weigle House ?
A - The Sebring Historical Society is the non-profit 501(c)(3) organization in Sebring Florida with office space and archival material located below the Sebring Public Library at 321 West Center Avenue. The Charles F. Weigle House Museum & Gift Shop is operated by the Sebring Historical Society inside the historic yellow house located across the parking lot from the Library at 1989 Lakeview Drive. We are not affiliated with the Sebring Public Library.
Q - How many Facebook pages do you have ?
A - We have just one - this one - the one that you're reading right now. We are aware that there is an old Charles F. Weigle House Museum Facebook page out there. It is not active. It is long dormant. Please do not follow it or link to it. We will remove it once we figure out how to do so.
Q - Who runs your Facebook page ?
A - It is managed and written by one of our volunteers here at the Sebring Historical Society.
Q - Who are the current Board Of Directors, and how often do you all meet ?
A - Our current officers are Kim Piesik (President), Frank Cartisano (Vice President), Linda Kolarik (Secretary), and Rick Calvin (Treasurer). Our additional directors are Chris Day, Linda Haase, Elaine Haines, Bobby Lee, Terry Mendel, Denise Serrano, and Robert Shannon. We meet formally once a month every first Tuesday, and we gather informally as needed.
Q - When does the next "Historian" come out ?
A - Our quarterly newsletter - "The Historian" - will have its January 2026 edition published and distributed within the next 5 weeks. It will be sent out via E-Mail, and it will also be available for viewing and downloading here on our Facebook page and also on our web site. Printed editions will be available at our Museum, Archives, and at our Quarterly Membership Luncheon on Saturday January 24TH 2026.
Q - I heard you're bringing back bus trips ?
A - YES ! Stay tuned for news and information on an upcoming bus trip in February to the Florida State Fair in Tampa.
That's all for now. Have a great weekend. We'll be back here in 3 days for an all-new #HistoryTuesday !
